requirements in an organization's business. They have an innovative,

Maplesoft Consulting has a local client that is currently seeking a
Research Analyst for an initial 4 month contract opportunity here in
the NCR (National Capital Region). Our client has identified a need to
retain the services of a Research Analyst to project manage a number
of important client analysis initiatives.
QUALIFICATION / DUTIES:
The proposed resource must possess the following skills:
* Experience managing a project of similar scope
* Experience conducting market research
* Experience conducting data analysis
* Experience using statistical analysis tools such as SPSS
(Statistical Package for Social Sciences)
* Experience managing projects using the Cognos Cube environment
The work to be performed will consist but will not be limited to the
following activities:
Cognos Cube Pilot Project:
* Provide first line content based support to pilot participants
* Finalize participant views with IT support
* Participate in the training of the pilot participants
* Participate in the focus group with the pilot participants
* Make recommendations to improve the tool
* Work with IT support team to modify participants' views
Demographic Profiling for Functional Communities
* Conduct research, including the development of specific quantitative
and qualitative research measures and indicators, for functional
communities within the Public Service
* Liaise with the internal client groups to identify and obtain data
sources.
* Analyze trends and indicators using various sources of data and
information
* Present findings to the Project Team
Forecasting the Mobility of Public Servants
* Analyze trends and indicators using the Mobility and Incumbent
databases
* Validate econometric model being used for this initiative
* Present findings to project team
SECURITY CLEARANCE:
* Reliability Status clearance
Location: Ottawa
Start-Date: July 30, 2007
Duration: 4 month contract (plus excellent chance of extension)
